About Us

Free Belarus Coalition unites the efforts of Belarusian-Americans and the broader Belarusian diaspora in the United States — as well as all those concerned about the current political and humanitarian crisis in Belarus — to advance democracy, defend human rights and seek justice for those who suffered persecution while expressing their political views.

Hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens and permanent residents are of Belarusian heritage. Free Belarus Coalition is comprised of highly-motivated, politically-active and successful American professionals who, by virtue of our family histories, have developed a special appreciation for Belarus and its importance to international security and global development and to the objectives of the U.S. foreign policy.

Free Belarus Coalition educates key U.S. stakeholders and decision-makers on the real situation in Belarus to support better-informed policymaking and to promote closer engagement between the American and Belarusian societies.

We organize the Belarusian-American community in crowdfunding, advocacy and awareness campaigns as well as share resources with Belarusian activists and civil society groups on advocacy and communication strategies.

Free Belarus Coalition operates under auspices of the Foundation for Democratic Development, a 501(c)(3) public charity.
